3 | Time limit of adultery in marriage | Bible general | justme | 242262
Rod: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. On the surface 17 years seams like a long enough time to forgiveness to taken effect. However, there are other questions that come to my mind. Here are some issues that would hamper healing and cause a wife to disbelieve a husband was still, perhaps unfaithful. A wondering eye, always looking for women who expose their breasts in low cut tops. Looking at magazines that expose women's bodies, even clothing advertisements. You flirting with women. These are a few ways that would bring into question that a true repentant heart has taken hold. Now here is a issue for your wife, if she has not or can not reach a spot where the hurt was so great that she can't get the hurt out of her mind, and perhaps after 17 years that's not possible for her, what else can you do? She, as you state it for what ever reason be it a hard heart or some reason wants out. I can't help wonder where the LORD has ben in your marriage? Most always when this amount of time has passed and there is still unforgiveness, the LORD Jesus was ignored in the healing of damaged emotions. This marriage is not beyond healing. But, in order for complete healing to happen you must become a brand new man in Jesus Christ. This is not something that comes natural, only by becoming in love with the WORD of GOD, and by renewing you mind and your actions, thinking, and reactions is there any hope. Even with this it may well take the rest of your life to restart you marriage. As long as she remains single there is hope. But even is she remarries you have become a new creation in Christ a man who is now healed his soul and able to be a completely able to start a new relationship in Jesus Christ. May I suggest start reading the four Gospels and 1 and 2 Corinthians first. I sincerely hope you will take this long Journey into your healing. Few really do take this seriously, but for those who are really wanting wholeness the reward is a new transformed mind and soul. May you enter a journey that will last a lifetime in Jesus Christ. justme |

Poteet39: When in Seminary I often visited different cemeteries, I found what was written on the head stone very interesting. I witnessed several people alone visiting graves of loved ones sitting and eating or reading. So go have a sandwitch enjoy the fresh air. You can take the Bible with you and may I suggest you read the Gospel of John while you are there. Justme |

WamYAH, Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. Sorry for the rather unfriendly response to you from EdB. However I too had never heard of a Cepher Bible. I did some research and your answer can be found by their web site at www.cepher.net I looked the site over and it looks very interesting. I wonder if it is a Jewish book store. I would welcome any thing you find out. I hope this gets to you as the study Bible Forums sending out emails seems to be out of order. Blessings and I hope you will come back. Justme |

7 | Am I Biblically free to marry? | Bible general | justme | 243755
Three wise men have given you advice based on the Bible. It really hurts to read how you have lived your life. I can not encourage you enough to seek a Godly Christian counselor. You have lived your life for the flesh and now you are reaping those difficult weeds you planted. I am sure this hurts, but given what you have said I don't think Biblically you should consider marriage. However I have the feeling you may not except the advice and opinions offered here. If you search long enough someone will tell you its ok to remarry. I can only hope you find a genuine Bible believing gifted counselor that can take the time to go over your several marriages and help you see where your responsibility is in their failure. God does hold the man more responsible for being the head of his house. I am being blunt, and I hope you will search your heart and ask God to help you walk the rest of your life with Him and Him alone. Blessings. justme |

michael03: I preached at a rescue mission while in college. Often there were men who would have taken some Scripture if there was one there to give. Perhaps a rescue mission could use this Scripture. Also put in "free Bibles" in the seqarch engine and there is a place that is glad to take used Biles and make great use out of them. Hope this helps. I have kept most all of my Bibles over the years, as I ahve made notes, and made comments in lost of paddages. Perhaps my children someday will read some of my remarks and see why I believe as I do. ssongassu:Romans 14:22 says I am to be careful in what I show approval, as I am to refelect Christ in what I do and say. In Eccl. 3:8, Ps.76:3 Matt. 25:6, all mention war and are well worth reading. I am not an idealist nor do I believe in a uptopia. This world is not my home, I am a soujourner, pilgrim, an alien, I am not of this world. However, I live in this world as an ambassador for Christ for recounciliation to those in need of salvation, who will acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. In matt. 24 Jesus told us to expect very difficult times, and a host of evil things, such as war. I expect to see much suffering for the world and Christians as well. I believe Christians are expected to persevere in suffering, and whatever happens to us. Romans 8:28,29, say we become more like Christ in suffering and hard times. I say this in kindness, you sound like a young person who has a deep sence of the evil and wrong things in this world. You seem sensitive, and tender hearted, I appreciate that. However, from the time Cain murdered Able, there has been a history of such evil. War is always good over evil, or even evil overpowering good. There is no simple answer to the answer you seek. I hope I have expressed myself in a different way for you to see what I think. As for our present circumstance in Iraq, this Study Bible Forum is not the place to dialogue about this political situation. I encourage you to ask questions related to Scripture. I think you will enjoy the forum much more ang get more dialogue if you deal with questions related to the Bible. Blessings. justme |

msalyne: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. The note your responded to was one from last January, so it might be a good ide to look at the date. This is a rather common mistake, some have asked or answered something from several years ago. There is no verse like this in Scripture. Often people think that "God helps them who help them selves" is in Scripture as well. But not only is this socalled verse not in Scripture is is not even a Biblical accurate statement. I hope you find the forum a good place to grow and find other Christians who are here ti help as well. justme |

12 | Did satan know the out come of Jesus' de | Bible general Archive 4 | justme | 201316
JCSaves: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! Your question is a little hard to answer as the question can be taken several ways. IF you mean does satan know the results of Jesus being risen form the Grave and our sins ore washed in His Blood and Salvation ia now for those who will come to Him. Then yes. IF you mean can satan read the mind of Christ or us today, no satan can not read anyones mind. IF you mean did satan know why Christ came to earth, then Yes. Satan was once an angel, and knew Christ from the begining. Remember satan tempted Jesus and offered Him many temptations, and Jesus did not yield to any. I hope this helps answer your question. Enjoy the Forum. justme |

13 | Why do we have so many denominations of | Bible general Archive 4 | justme | 201317
Learning1228: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! Where ever you find something in Scripture that can have a different understanding then there is most likely some group of persons that take off in a differtent direction and make their understanding a reason to have a denomination. That's a overly simple statement, but it sorta gets the idea before you. There are denominations that believe in footwashing at the time of the of sharing the Bread and Cup. There are those who Baptize by sprinkling and others believe the person must be taken below the water. Some do not have any musical instruments, others have a full band. These are all areas that make us different, and often are fought over and causes great differences aand disfellowship, which is a sad situation. There are some denominations that work together and celebrate the things they hold in common, and work for helping with thoes in need offood, clothing, shelter, jobs, and just about any need you can think of. That's as it should be in reality, Christ at work within us. justme |

Gmroberson: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! This question is not something that this forum can answer as it is not a Bible question as shuch. That said, God can use anything He wants to get our attention. I think by what you say it got your attention. How is your relationship with Jesus Christ? Have you ask Christ to be your Lord and Saviour? If you are a Christian are you close to the Lord? Maybe that's what al all this was about, so someone might remind you that God love you! As a humor it could be your daughter needs glasses, or maybe you had a white speck on your glasses. Blessings to you. Ask some more Bible related questions and become active on the forum. justme |

18 | Church membership...a requirement? | Bible general Archive 4 | justme | 209383
Beingstill: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. Most churches that have membership do require a person to be a member before a person can take any leadership role. There is accountability to one another in becoming a member and there is the responsibility of the pastor for those under his authority. The book of Acts says that 3,000 were added to the members there one time, so there was a record of those who belonged there. Even in worldly organizations like the Elks, Moose, DAV, and many more membership is required to participate, should churches expect anything less? Perhaps your pastor has allowed you to assume roles that are open just for members, and was hoping you would be ready for a commitment to the church and his leadership? It sounds to me that you all were aware of church membership, and have enjoyed the blessings of the fellowship there for at least two years. I find it rather odd that after two years you are not ready to become members, so there must be some reason for not joining the church. If saw this kind of hessitation of people who were attending for two years and who enjoyed the benefits the church had to offer, I would want to ask why they had not joined as well. I would not become angry, and I would ask what might be your reason for not joining. That seems reasonable to me. However, the pastors other remarks on the surface seem uncalled for and unbiblical. Generally speaking if someone is reluctant to join churches there is some reason. Most gererally there has been a problem somewhere in a church in the past. Joining a church is not signing a contract for life, it should be not be entered into lightly, but not so serious as to require more than Christ would ask of us. If after two years of attending this church you do not feel led to join, and after what the pastor said, I would look and seek where the Lord wanted me to become a part of. If you all just do not want a church that has membership, there are churches that do not have membership. Calvary Chapel being one, I know of. I hope this helps some, blessings. justme |

19 | Most accurate translation of Bible? | Bible general Archive 4 | justme | 210729
SAnsel: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. After reading your question and the other answser by humbledbyhisgrace, I thought I would give a little added information. What Translation of the Bible is used in your Church? I find it is awkward to have a different translation than the Pastor is preaching from. Personally I have a number of translations, and after some serious looks into how the translations compare with the Hebrew and Greek with the tools I have I have some thoughts. I use the NIV STUDY BIBLE and the NASB LIFE APPLICATION BIBLE, the most of all. I do have these versions in just the translations with no study helps as well. The NIV and the NASB compliment easch other is spots that I need a better understanding. I do have the ESV and to be real honest I have just not been able to feel as close to the ESV as I do the NIV and NASB. That is not to say the ESV is not a good translation, I just have used the other two for a much longer time and really do not want to make much of a change now at this stage in life. Why not go to a Seminary book store and get some tools that you can use to help you even if you do not actually read the orignal languages there are very good help tools so you can see the words for your self. You can get the ESV, NIV, and NASB in paper back all for less than perhaps 40 or so dollars. Hope this helps. Stay in the word. Oh The old KJV is not a bad translation, but some words have changed meaning, so be kind to th eKJV it's been here for a proven length of time and loved by many. I myself am not a KJV fan at all, but still see it as a reliable Bible. justme |
