1 | Who is the Bride of Christ? | Bible general Archive 4 | GBzones | 206257
The general prevailing and thus ruling concept in the church today is that the whole church is and will make up the Bride of Christ. This cannot be true nor could it.The scriptures say "she has got herself ready" The church in rev2 says that in its own eyes "is rich increased with goods and in need of nothing" Yet in the Lords eyes "was poor wretched and blind and in need of eye salve."Moreover has Him OUTSIDE the church knocking at its door,That is a call to the whole church to repent but the promise is to whosover has ears to hear and openeth the door to them is the promise fullfilled. So let us not presume we are automaticly in the bride. For that church was not clearly ready! I would argue that as one swallow does not make a summer one verse does not make a doctrin. Albeit it might clearly state it.To prove or test the verse ALL scripture must be brought to bear upon it. Therefore what does the scripture say everywhere? "God, in sundry times and in divers ways spake by the prophets"(hebrews 1:1) We know from Eph that we prophecy in part.So that what was spocken in part by God in types and shadows of the Son was perfectly expressed by the Son in the new. Where the Son is you will also find the Bride also in types and shadows but hidden in Christ or not known by them who spake it. Thus what was spoken in part in the Old was spocken of more plainly in the new (Eph) To be BORNagain qualifies us "to run the race" it does not qualify us to "win the prize" That we have to do lawfully Paul says. I am not talking about the deeds of the law unto salvation there are none But the rewards won by good works as a result of salvation. Thus the children of Isreal who were SAVED not by thier good works nor by thier own power but by the blood of a lamb and the word of God made unto Abraham. Thus were they "aprehended" that they might enter into the promise.Yet out of over two million how many actualy did? 2 TWO! It can be reasonably argued then that the people who entered into the promise where very different from those who came out of Egypt. Thus is it written "Be ye transformed by the renewaL OF YOUR MIND" Now it took only 40 DAYS!!!! to get to the river jordan.Clearly then in Gods eyes they should have been ready and in the light of the two faithfull witnesses they should have been. For they had been.and were. "Yet they entered not in because of unbeleif".Paul says.Yet there is more to this because they not only did not beleive God they also BELIEVED the wrong message! Thus having "itching ears" They found the message that suited thier own hearts. The Bride of Christ will walk by faith and not by sight being decieved. For as it was in the days of Lot so shall it be when the Son of man shall come. What then of Lot? Was there not also ABRAHAM? Wasnt Lot as rich in the blessing of God as Abraham in the beginning? Yet in his choosing how did he choose? He SAW the (tree.Gen) land that it was good (to eat.Gen) and reasoned thus it was the way to go.Abraham on the other hand walked by faith in the word of God and so it did not matter which way he went as Long as God was with Him.Thus his walk was perfect before God (see enoch) Lot "pitched his tent towards Sodom".The next time you hear of him he is captured WITH them. The next time you hear of him he is living among them in the city.Albeit he was counted rightous for" his rightous soul was vexed..."Abraham because he walked by faith before God knew the hour in which he lived and what God was about to do for God could tell him. Yet Lot walking by sight new it not and had to be dragged out of the city.Saving but his own soul.Is it not wriitn in rev Some will be saved but suffer loss as through fire? Thus we have ABRAHAM.and we have Lot. The subject is vast. In Corinthians Paul speaks of the milk OF THE WORD. and speaking of Christians says they "are yet carnal" meaning that they had not thier minds renewed albeit they were BORNagain. Now if you go to Hebrews there he gives a list of what he considered to be the Milk of the Word. Thus Id venture to say that no little children get married.Albeit young men I john are on the way to be.Ye fathers who know Him who is from the beginning would seem to be more likely? That I cant come down on. save this .A carnal Christian CANT be. Seeing to be carnaly minded is to be contrary to God! Are we not then called to" have the mind of Christ"? For how can two walk togther unless they agree The Bride then has come to learn good from evil "see garden of Eden and Eve)by practice. and lean not upon thier own understanding but rather leans upon her beloved (song of solomon) Gerald |

2 | WHERE DID MAGI'S COME FROM? | Bible general Archive 1 | GBzones | 206351
The idea that there were three and that they came to the manger at bethlehem is based upon Francis of assisis I believe. But the scriptures tell it differently.(doesnt it always?) For herod asked them diligently when they first saw the star. They went to the CHILD at the HOUSE is what the scriptures say. Herod sent orders to kill every male born child TWO YEARS and under. With all reasonableness then from his carefull questioning of the magi it took them at least 18 MONTHS to travel to bethleham from the EAST. if not more and up to two years. Why three? it does not mention the number. It is presumbed because of the three gifts. It too doers not say how much.only how many. Moroever the WHOLE of jerusalem was troubled.Three magi would have been little noticed you might think in a great city astride such a trade route/s They traveled in a caravan and given the costly gifts a relatively BIG ONE! The question where from then is answered by where in the east would it take nearly two years to travel from? It is a possablity that it was China. Traveling down the silk route. The knowledge of God is self evident in all of creation(romans) Where ever they came from they were not only wise but had understanding also. Genesis speaks of times and seasons being known by th stars. But this was no comet or alignment of planets . Whatever the nature of the star. They knew what it meant and were commited enough to follow where so ever it LED them. thus by and by they came to know Him who not only was BORN king of the jews but also is the way the truth and the life. It is worth perhaps noting that it was gentile magi who proclaimed him king of the jews. at his birth. and it was a gentile pilate who also recognised and proclaimed him king of the jews also at his death. |

3 | What is the best version of the Bible? | Bible general Archive 1 | GBzones | 206353
Although I have answered this to a similar post. I must 'answer' 'that best captures the intent of the original authors' You may well have not expressed yourself as you intended in your heart. But still the words speak then differently and must be answered.because albeit they might to you mean one thing (being expressed) to another as they are so written they convey completely something else. There is only ONE author of the scriptures. That is the Holy Spirit; God Himself. For He inspired them so to write even as was according to His mind. For "He knoweth the mind of God" From that springs no intent but a seed that has roots a stem and finally fruit. "For the Word of God is a seed" so sayeth the scriptures. We are by the scriptures to come "to know HIM who is from the beginning"(ijohn) The intent then is a none arrival nor for that matter a departure. "Not one jot or tittle shaLL pass away..."I understand that a jot and a tittle is the varios small markings denoitign this or that in the Hebrew script. If such little marks are important and not to be omitted or added how much more words verses and the like? I do not want mans thinking and interpretation of what thye percive was the authors intent.I want an accurate tranaslation of the original. That in no way dilutes, corrupts changes or in any other way changes the message "that proccedeth from His mouth" The understanding will come by HIM who so inspired them to so write according to the mind of God as I "lean not upon my own understanding....." but upon HIM "who leadeth us into all truth" It is an accurate translation you me or any man needs not another of mans interpretations of what they THINK God said. This whole sorry mess started with that idea with "hath God said" (gen) and we know where THAT came from and whe thus know also where it will lead! Most sincerely gerald |

4 | How long did Adam and Eve live in Eden | Genesis | GBzones | 206360
It was not the tree of knowledge but the tree of the knowlegde of good and evil.A vast difference. They would never had died had they never eaten of that tree. Even as Jesus would never have died had he not given His life for the world. Your answer then for as long as they did not eat of it. gerald |

5 | Why Were They Shut Out? | Matt 25:12 | GBzones | 206367
The scriptures say why. They were foolish! and not wise. Foolish in thier expectations. The church has changed this pasage to mean the saved and the unsaved and while in a very limited way it can be used as such. The primary message is to the church. A virgin is by any sense of the word a God given state. Paul In romans talking about the unsaved speaks a s one who is married to another.Yet speaking of the church as a chaste and espoused bride. In all truth then the 10 virgins speaks of saved and christians. They five were not lost they were foolish and not wise. Now in ALL other matters save one they were as the 5 wise. All had thier lamps lit.ALL were waiting for the groom.ALL fell asleep.ALL heard the cry.ALL got up.The foolishness was in that thier vessels were empty. Thus they had to go and get ready first. While the others had got themselves ready. Now when they had come back the door was closed(see at the river jordon exodus)and they were told "I KNOW you not" and were barred from the MARRIAGE. On the day of judgement The words are "I NEVER knew you"and they were barred from the KINGDOM. Thus the 5 foolish virgins were UNRECOGNISABLE as the BRIDE.and so were barred from the marriage. 6 | How do you then interpret the verses... | Luke 8:13 | GBzones | 206355
Predestination: I suppose depending on a mans 'school'of theology this is a stumbling block or a rock to throw at the 'other' camp. While predestination cannot be denied on biblical grounds "he has predestined us ...(eph) It would be better to have a more sure foundation for our understanding than an assertion of a fact and heralded up as some theological trophy to parade before our 'enemies' While what I say does not cover the whole subject it IS biblical and therefore a sure foundation for a mans thinking. So where do we start? As always to the beginning Genesis. For every seed bringeth forth fruit after its own kind. Those foolish people who object to gender in the scriptures forget it is the man who has the seed not the woman thus if every seed bringeth forth fruit after its own kind it is MAN......kind. Moreover they then get deeper into trouble by taking out FATHER.Forgetting that "unless a seed fall into the ground and die it abideth alone...." and that Jesus was the only begotten Son of the Father. Therefor it can be said without fear of contradiction that EVERY seed is PREDESTINED to the end that God has ordained for it. Wether it be the seed of the woman or the seed of the serpent. Or wether it be the seed of ADAM. Now w eknow by the scriptures that the first Adam was made a living soul and he lived not just by "every tree that was good to eat..."But also by the word thaT Proceded from the mouth of God aqs to what was GOOD to eat and what was EVIL to eat. and by that knowldge that was of God they lived. It was when they rejected that knowldge and did that which was right in thier own eyes that Adam corrupted himself and was made subject to sin and death. But seeign that we all were IN the first Adam (beign his seed) by one mans disobedience all were made also subject to sin and death. Thus all who are of the first Adams seed are PREDESTINED to return to the dust from wence they came. For we are born in sin and shapen in iniquity. But here is a wonder . Woman have no seed .But God willing to show that there would come a single "it" male "he" child born of a woman but not of Adams seed said the "seed of the woman..." Now we know from other scripture and that in genesis that God is a husbandman. For he planted a garden it says in genesis. Now are we not made in the image? Do we not know then as farmers or gardeners that what so ever a man soweth that shall he reap? is it beyond then the wit of man to think how much greater then does God know the end from the beginning? Moreover He also knows of what seed will bring forth what fruit. The seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. Thus that "Word that proccedeth out of His mouth" shall not return unto HIm void but shall acomplish that where unto I sent it" Thus "if it does it bringeth froth much fruit" Is not the kingdom of God likened unto a man who went and sowed seed in his feild? or one that sowed the good seed in hsi feild and did nto while "men slept his enemy came and sowed another seed?" What comes from God goes to God. Thus there is the WORD of life and the word of death. Therefore man left to himse;lf is doomed and predestined to one end . Seeing that "every soul that sinneth it shall die" and the wages of sin is death" Therefor man of the first Adams seed is lost undone and without hope in this world predestined for a lost eternity. But the last Adam was made "a quickening Spirit" The WORD that was in the begining with God and was God made flesh put on the seed of abraham. and seeign that the seed is the Word of God. it wass sown in the feild of this world and in mens hearts. He too was predstined unto good works that he should walk in them.According to the scriptures. Therefore the calling is Gods for the dead do not live untill they hear his voice."He who has an ear let him hear" Thus when a man repents and recives the Word by the Spirit and is BORNagain he is translated from one predestined end to another. From corruptable seed to incorruptable seed. The call is to ALL to repent. For God is not willing that ANY should perish. Which message you believe then even as it was in the begining will determin what fruit you bear. and by thier fruits shall ye know them. Self leads to satan. and finaly it will be seen of soem that they are the seed of the serpent. while others of that seed of the woman. "But ask not who will go up for that is to bring christ down, nor say who will go down for that is to briong christ up.But what sayeth the scriptures?.............." Do not judge before the time. "I judge no one said jesus but My words will judge you at the last day." Of what seed then are we? "Sow therefore unto yourselves rightousness..." "For God is not mocked whatsoever a man soweth that shall he reap" |

7 | WHAT MADE LOT A RIGHTIOUS MAN? | Luke 8:13 | GBzones | 206356
Lot was counted rightous it is true. But not a man to emulate. For although his rightous soul was vexed by the filthy conversations of the wicked.he neither "reproved them" nor "came out from among them". Moreover how did he find himself there in the first place? By walking by SIGHT and not by faith. For he looked and SAW that the land was fruitfull and 'prospering'?and so chose that which was right in his own eyes. Abraham on the other hand walked by faith. If Lot had chosen that way he go the other if lot chose the other hed go that way. It matterd not to some extent as long as he walked with God and God was with him. The next time you hear of Lot he was captured WITH them. The next time he is living AMONG them. and while at the beginning he was as rich in the blessing of God as Abaraham,at then end he came out of it all, saving but his own soul having "suffered loss as through fire"(rev) It is Abraham we need therefore to emulate not Lot. For as it was in the days of lot so shall it be in the last days. Lot was unaware of the lateness of the hour nor what God was about to do. Abraham was not only no where near the conversations of the wicked he also was in a place where God could talk to him and tell him "what he was about to do" gerald |

8 | Best commentary on Revelation? | Revelation | GBzones | 206309
The best commentary of the last book. The book of revalation is the first book;the book of Genesis. For everything that was sown has its fullfillment in the book of revalation. Thus to understand the last book you must get a good grasp of the first. For by thier fruits shall ye know them. But as we know every seed bringeth forth fruit after its own kind the fruit is predestined therefore by the seed that is sown. I would argue therefor that to have your thinking rooted in Genesis you will not be swayed by the senasational and latest 'revalations' that sweeps through the church. But being rooted and grounded in the truth might come to a knowledge of the truth concerning the book of revalation. For reading any amount of books is not the answer. For "if everything that jesus said and did had bene written down the world woudl not be able to contain them"(John) Therefore not everything that he DID do or say was written. But everything that was needed was and everything that was not needed was not. Thus the seed which is the Word of God has that property that it is not the tree from wence it came.Yet it has within it every thing that is needed to reproduce itself. Add to it and it will not.Take from it and it will not. But that seed to is predestined to bring forth fruit after its own kind. For in the begining you ahve the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. In the begining God commanded the light to shine in the darkness and then seperated the light from the darkness. Well he does not change so He was in the beginning So He is at the end and there too will He seperate the children of light from the children who loved darkness rather than the light. Which ever author you read or how many by what criteria will you judge who speaks the truth and who does not? For if 'you' are not led by HIM who leadeth into all truth concerning the scriptures why is it thought a man may well do so by another author? Thereofore I contend that in the mind of God there is no confusion. But rather even as He inspired John so to right accordignot the mind of God.The Spirit of truth is also needed to understand what is written according to the mind of God. There need be NO division or contention as to thew truth then. But only between those who love it and those who dont. For if eh will lead us into ALL truth. Then there is nothing outside of ALL . Therefore with a willing heart and in complete submission to God "leaning not upon our own understanding......" He will by degree lead us into all truth that we might come to know the truth and thus be made free. Gbzones |

9 | Who is the Bride of Christ? | Revelation | GBzones | 206347
The Bride of Christ will be a select body taken from the midst of the general body. Even as Eve was taken from the body of the first Adam. As bride for Issac was taken from AMONG his brtheren. As Levi was taken from among the 12 twelve tribes. As Peter James and John were taken from the 12 apostles. She will be made up predominatly from the gentiles. Moses was already marrried to a gentile when he delivered isreal. Joseph was already married to a gentile bride when He revealed himself to his bretheren. Ruth a gentile married BOAZ the redeemer. She will "aprehend that for which she was aprehended for" She will suffer with Him. Be crucyfied with HIm Buried with Him and be where He is. Be of the same mind. The same heart. Same objectives Wholy sanctified. Body Soul Spirit. Looking for and hastening to the coming of the Lord. Fair as the morning Clear as the sun and terrible as an army with banners.(song of solomon) Be filled with the Holy Ghost. Full of faith and good works Her fruit will remain. She will be made conformable to His death, and know the power of his resurection. She will not be deceived. and will have no spot or wrinkle or any such thing. She will be like the moon seated with sun in heavenly places in her relationship with the sun. Having no light of her own she will shine in the darkness of this world till the morning come and be the witness of the sun shining.and seperate the light from the darkness. What she sees her Lord do that she will do also. For as the Father sent me so send I you. She will have got herself ready. She will be wise and not foollish. Neither be asleep or slothfull. Will go the extra mile and do more than is "reasonable" She is something special! |
