1 | Quries about Christmas? | NT general | RangerRick | 211615
Christmas is a pagan holiday that was brought about by the merging of Babylonianism and Christianity by Constantine emporer of Rome. Catholicism was born and introduced all types of pagan rituals like "Christ's Mass" which was the new Christian name for the "Winter Solstis" or the "Saturnalia". Jesus was actually born sometime around the end of September the exact date has not been identified to my knowledge but by knowing when Elisabeth's (John the Baptists mother)husband was the priest at the temple and what days he was on duty and when she was pregnant they have a pretty good idea. Easter is another pagan holiday from Egypt that was actually the celebration of "Ishtar" the goddess of fertility that was celebrated with rabbits (Peter) and exchanging brightly colored eggs. Sound familiar? Jesus said; we now no longer observe days or stars etc. etc. The question is simple...since anything we do in doubt is sin...Do you feel that you are doing something wrong by decorating a tree and celebrating "Christ's Mass"? If so then maybe you shouldn't and be a witness for the Lord. If not then you should and still be a witness for the Lord during "Chistmas". No one is your judge but you must judge all things by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. |

2 | Quries about Christmas? | NT general | RangerRick | 211639
There are many Christians that are offended by nthe celebration of Christmas and we should be sensative to their convictions just as Paul was of those who ate meat as well as those who did not. I watched a member of a church for 15 years walk out and not return because the Pastor allowed the youth group to put up a tree in the sanctuary. Who was correct? The Pastor or the man who walked out? It should never have happened. The one lost sheep is more important than the 99 and a wounded brother is harder to win than a strong city. So whether you are for St. Nick or not be aware of the weaker souls that are among you. That is my point. No. I was an Army Ranger not the lone Ranger...but we do know the scripture about course jesting. Right? |
