Dear Muzka, You are not wrong to ask this question. And you are not alone in wondering why a loving God would torture His own creations for eternal eons, in reprisal for a relatively short life of sin. Logically speaking, how could a God of Ultimate Love do such a thing? I for one don’t believe He will. I’m not trying to help you “shop” for a new belief. I’m just letting you know that you’re not alone. If you are interested, here is a web site that helps explain why I believe this. http://www.amazingfacts.org/items/free_library.asp Under the “select a topic” field you’ll have to select “Hell” I realize that my belief on this issue is in the vast minority. I do however believe that it is biblical. Ocelot Malachi 4:3 "You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing," says the LORD of hosts. |

Greetings; I have done a lot of sailing in lake Erie in the past 20 years: if I find someone treading water in the middle of the lake in a storm, because their boat sank, and I continually throw them a life ring and they refuse to take hold so I can rescue them, for what reason I can’t imagine, am I at fault or unloving because they downed? I can’t make them grab ahold of the only hope they have, and it is the same with God and His plan for eternal life. The lake of fire is a very real place that was created for the devil and his angles and man will end up there if he doesn’t trust in God’s only “perfect” provision to escape such a place, so how is that unloving? Is it fair or just; God is God, and what He says goes! Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: God has provided everything necessary for eternal life in heaven through the person of Jesus Christ, His Son, and if people refuse His life saving remedy how could they consider God still responsible, if they outright refuse His help? This is strange thinking the way I see it, CDBJ |
