Hi brother John, Yes, much of what you said is true. Let me tell you my take on it, if you will (I do this knowing I could be quite wrong, but I don't think that I'm totally wrong.): God did judicially blind the Jews as to the identiy of Messiah (because of disobedience and their rejection of Him and I believe so that ALL could come to know Him - this was something the Hebrews were supposed to do, spread the news about Yahweh, but they failed). But not all of Israel has been cut off, there has always been a faithful remnant, even today there is a remnant. I believe that remnant is being prepared right now to fulfill the 144,000 witnesses. God has NOT cast away His people, they are ever His beloved. There's a lot more but I'll stop at this point and look for your response. Blessings Cheri |

Cheri, That is true, but the remnant of Israel is still not the church, I wasn't sure if you are clear on that point. God has not rejected the remnant. Is that what you are saying? All that have come to know the one true God, and believe in His plan of salvation, and accept it, and are willing to repaint and turn to Him, are part of His family. We are grafted in but, The Church, and the nation Israel, are sort of like cousins, and we will be God's priests to minister to them. The Jew today, that is a believer in, and accepts Christ as their redeemer, is now a part of the Church, and no longer a part of the nation Israel. At least that is the way I see it. How are you doing with that? God bless. John P.S. How am I doing Doc? |

Hi John I'm kinda there too, i.e., if Jesus caught the church away tonight (wouldn't that be marvelous??) those believing Jews would go too. I'm speaking of those who are not yet born-again, but are, with everything that is in them, still looking to be godly and hoping for Yeshua ha Mashiach. Just as down through the ages God has always had an army of born-again, Spirit-led people, He also has always had a remnant of godly Israel. Did that explain my thinking? I think we're pretty much on the same page. It's just that I don't think that becoming a Christian the Jew has given up his heritage of being natural born Israel. Instead we as non-Jewish become grafted in, spiritual Israel (this is how I understand Romans chapters 9-11). Am I all wrong here? I'm not arguing the point, there's just a lot of questions. Like, Doc, you said you were Jewish born. You probably don't observe the Jewish traditions now but do you not have a love for Israel, the land your Father promised to your people, and are they not still your people, even though they, as a whole may be blinded to the truth right now? Do you not pray for them first of all? (I do because Jesus told us too, but you should for that reason AND because they are your people.) in Love Cheri |
