Dear Norrie, Tim has made some excellent observations and I agree with him up to a point. That point, for me, is when the gospel ceases to be preached. I left my former church because false doctrines were being taught. Worship had degraded into entertainment. Emotionalism was equated with spirituality. I spoke to the pastor, but was not satisfied with his response. It pained me to leave, but I had no choice. I could'nt go there again. I just could'nt bring myself to listen to the man-pleasing drivel any longer! God moved me to a new church. If He wills that you move on (as He did me) you will feel much the same way as I did. You just won't be able to worship there any longer. Trust in Him, John |

I understand what Tim is saying and what you're saying. If it ever gets like you described, I'll be out of there but hopefully it won't. I just can't help but wonder why since he came, the church is so filled/popular-are they coming for him or for Jesus? That pastor is NOT why I go to church, I go for Jesus. It helps to have a preacher who gives the Word the way it should be and we've always had the Word preached, I just don't like it coming from a particular book that's not the Bible and has all those different versions as it's base... | ||||||
