Hi Friends... I one asked God to kill me as i had been through many problems .... I then asked God what to do about a work situation and shortly afterwards i was fired.... i took it as a sign... and left ... so basically for God i left my family town friends everything ... Which the bible says if u leave family ect for God your rewards will be everlasting eternity or something along those lines ( i think ) God answered my death proposal by almost killing me ... in the end i survived.... however still not satisfied , I was offered a job in another town , but decided to rather complete an alpha course and hopefully find God..... during the alpha course i somehow commited an eternal sin by swearing against the Holy spirit (was not planned) I wondering if that was Satan acting in my life or if God was trying to teach me a lesson ? what do u guys think ? I am seriously stuck and do not know what to do .... catch 22 Do u think i am going to hell ? |

Hi, Malcom777! When Scripture speaks of leaving everything for Jesus Christ... it means just that! The twelve disciples, as well as some others, left their families, jobs, friends, towns, etc... in order to walk with Jesus... those who are called to serve the Lord must be willing to do the same... yet, not eveybody is called to minister to the world... and not all who give up things/people do it for the Lord... How is it that you gave up your family, job, etc. for the Lord... are you a volunteer minister, preacher, evengelist...? "during the alpha course i somehow commited an eternal sin by swearing against the Holy spirit (was not planned)" Are you saying that you no longer believe in Jesus Christ or that you doubt His Power? Are you rejecting the Holy Spirit as God? Are you rejecting His Power to teach you and Save you? By asking/telling God to kill you you are provoking His anger... but more dangerous than that, you are rejecting His gift of life--in essence, you are saying that you know better than God... remember the parable of the coins? You have to work with whatever you have! Do you believe that God has the power to protect you from evil? Do you believe that God is stronger than Satan? Do you believe that Jesus died for you: to save you from yourself and from the powers of sin? God does not want you to perish! Jesus came to rescue all who humbly believe in Him from eternal damnation and no amount of stupidity, sin, ignorance, or any other limitations can void Christ's Sacrifice on the Cross! In Him you are free from the wages of sin! Let Him use you! Repent from your prideful behavior! Reject Satan and all the doubt that he has placed in your path! Get closer to God, serving willingly and humbly and He will get closer to you! There are many on-line Bible Study Groups, join as many as you are able; search the Scripture for answers; stay in a prayerful disposition every day, and every hour of the day! Remember that your battle is not as simple as it seems... your struggle is with spiritual principalities (Satan and his minions) and you yourself are not strong enough to face them; seek Jesus! Make Bible Study your dialy task! Ask the Holy Spirit for enlightenment and patience... remember James words... be slow to speak and slower even to anger! God Bless! Angel |

Hi, Malcom! I read through your posts... I understand your concern... God does not play games with our spiritual life/aspirations... I think that the problem lies in our inability to trust God and our low capacity for patience! We go to God with preconceived ideas and expect a clear response that agrees with our mindset! Have you ever watched an episode of "The Simpson’s" (adult cartoons on channel 5--eastern US)? The writers set is up in much the same television pop-culture where everything goes and during the last few lines the characters iron-out all problems... well... God is not like that! It is He who determines where and how we are to serve Him! It is He who determines who is enlightened and how deeply! It is He who determines how and when to use us and the Gift/s granted to us by the Holy Spirit! Remember Cain and Abel? They both served God, yet Abel served God with the best at his disposal while Cain was content with serving any way he chose! We cannot coerce/goat God into doing things our way... we can only serve Him in patience and humility awaiting, as the Remnant did, for the revelation of the Messiah! We have an advantage that the Remnant did not have: we have Jesus' biography: the Gospels. And we have the rest of the writings from the Old Testament to the New! Place Satan out of your mind--do not fear those who can only take your life! Patiently and humbly establish that beautiful relationship that you want to have with our Lord... the Holy Spirit will guide you... but only if you surrender yourself to God... remember He exalts the humble! (James 4:10) Read the Holy Scripture in an effort not to find God somewhere in some away place... search for Him in you, in your immediate surroundings... He is not far from you--just a humble and obedient prayer away! ...in reference to your observation about Jesus telling us that where two or three are gathered in His name He is among them... to be gathered in Jesus' name does not mean claiming Scripture, it means living Scripture! Though Jesus can make us partakers in His Divinity (He came to grant us eternal life as God's adopted children), we can never make Jesus partaker in our unrighteousness! When we gather in Jesus' we cannot serve the flesh: 21You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons. (1 Corinthians 10:21) Anyone who claims to gather in Jesus' name only to proceed with satisfying the desires of the flesh... he/she is as far from Christ and as misguided as those who publicly wear a cross about their chest, suggesting to the world that they are in alligiance with Christ, only to deny Christ by their wanton rejection of God's Authority! God Bless! Angel |
