Greetings GloryBound! Good evening my friend! I think that questions can be asked about specific issues. For instance, one might ask about what the Bible says about abortion, or capital punisment, or taxes, or war. However, things that Scripture does not address would be inappropriate. In not so many words, this is just what I am saying, Tim. I see people on this board being reprimanded for attempting to open political issues, when those issues should be discussed in a biblical manor. It appears to me that the many herein who profess scriptural learning, are sidesteping a very important issue. GB |

Greetings Glory Bound! I can't speak for anyone else, but I think that the concern many had was the way in which the questions were phrased. The Bible doesn't say anything about a particular political party. So, while discussing abortion would certainly be a Biblical topic, discussing whether or not democrates can be Christian would not be. :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
