I understand your pain. I feel as though I married the wrong man. But I have decided to focus on myself. I only have control of the things that I do. Like mentioned in the other posts. Focus on GOD and your walk with GOD. It is hard, believe me. But apparently you are with this person for a reason. . I have improved so much as the holy spirit has been my teacher.. Just trust in Jesus.. I will pray for you ... GOD BLESS.. |

My wife, which is 20 years my senior, was married to a man she didn't love for over 30 years. Like many, she married to get out of the nest. She is a wonderful Christian, the most spiritually influential person I have ever known. She really didn't know him when they first married. He became a thief, and a liar and remained such till near the end of his life. She nearly single handedly raised all 5 of her children. She will occasionally tell me of the embarrassment she endured because of the lack of moral character he had. I have studied scripture concerning marriage and divorce and am convinced that it is because of my wife that her deceased previous husband managed to accept the Savior. The scripture comes to mind, and I paraphrase, “No grater love has anyone, than that they would give their life for another.” She gave much of her life to someone whom, other than as another child of God, she simply did not love. Although there are 3 ways out of a marriage according to scripture, there is no doubt that self-sacrifice and love of the Lord is the more honorable route Joyce and I are rapidly approaching our 20th anniversary. I have 5 children; 4 boys and 1 girl. My oldest son is 3 years older than I. (I love to tell folks that I got started EARLIER than life.) I have 16 grandkids and 13 grates. All steps of course, but they all love me, and I love them as though they were my own. They are, and will always be my only children. GB |
