The whole book of Hebrews goes into this subject quite a bit. Its main purpose is to contrast the superiority of the christianity over that of the Law of Moses and Judiasm. One of the Book's main tenents is that you and I are NOW able to approach God directly through Jesus, His Son whereas before in Judiasm, the Jews had to go through their High Priest and he didn't know very much and couldn't answer most of their questions. Now God deals directly with His children like I stated and we can pray directly to Him in the name of Jesus Christ. Now, you and I know we're not going to find the specific words as you mention above. God expects us to study His Word and figure SOME things on our own. But clearly through His Word, we can also see that in today's world there is no one performing miracles anywhere even close to the kind of miracles in the Bible. Hope this helps to clarify and God bless. Rowdy |

Greetings Rowdy! The situation you describe in Hebrews also existed during the time of the apostles. How does it justify your postion that now God does not work miracles through anyone else? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
