1 | What's the Bible's take on homosexuality | Bible general Archive 2 | jemilato | 116146
Hi, I'm new to this but I have a very pressing question. It seems to me that the Old Testament's stand on homosexuality (Deuteronomy) is considered pretty much obsolete in our society. There are many things that we do today even though they are explicitly forbidden or condemned in the Old Testament. What does it mean then, for homosexuality and Christianity in general? If someone could answer this with the help of Bible verses, I would be very grateful.
2 | What's the Bible's take on homosexuality | Bible general Archive 2 | Emmaus | 116147
jemilato, I would suggest reading Romans 1:18-32 and 1 Corinthians 6:9, they are New testament, not Old Testament. The difference is that under the NT homosexuals can be saved if they repent and turn away from their sin, just as the rest of us can be saved if we repent and turn away from the sins of heterosexuals, such as fornication, adultery etc. Emmaus |
