Joe I disagree Ken Hepting stated fact, the Westminster Confession is not Biblical nor scripture. He also mentioned it was influenced by one man. He then said see forum rules. You jumped on it as a disposition against Calvinism, I saw it as an admonishment to not attack the authority of the Bible, item two of the forum rules each of us read everytime we submit anything to the forum. "the Westminster Confession is not Biblical nor scripture." Caution EdB, By making the above statement you are "pushing a denominational bias". The new rule prohibits me from responding directly to your charge. Therefore, any further charges which are clearly in violation of the spirit of the rule, will be reported by me to the Forum as a problem (studybibleforum@lockman.org). I have never complained about anyone to the authorities since registering on 01/23/2002. But now I have no recourse but to do so. The new rule leaves me with no other option. It grieves me that christians can't disagree with out falling into emotional outbursts and personal rancour over doctrine. It seems like some will never learn to grow up. God's will be done. Sorry Ed, I must let the WCF defend itself. This is an especially inappropriate time to discuss the founding document of protestantism. I made no threat against you Ed. I was merely cautioning you. As for rule #3...my comment was a general one and not directed at you personnaly. John Reformed |

John You most certainly did threaten me, "I have never complained about anyone to the authorities since registering on 01/23/2002. But now I have no recourse but to do so. The new rule leaves me with no other option." You also slapped me with personal insults, "It grieves me that christians can't disagree with out falling into emotional outbursts and personal rancour over doctrine. It seems like some will never learn to grow up." Here you infer that I'm emotional and have come at you with personal rancor because I have not yet grown up. Sir I think anyone would take that as an insult. EdB |
