1 | Should a Christian be a Mason? | Bible general Archive 1 | prayon | 9067
Brandi, I can't debate whether any of the above were Masons because I just don't know. I'm sure that many can live a life that appears to be Christian and most if not all believe in God. But I do know that Christians should NOT be Masons. Acording to the 'blood oaths' they take, which in itself go against the bible, they are not allowed to tell you anything concerning the rituals, oaths, etc. I have given 2 examples of evidence in my above posting "Absolutely not". I encourage you to read them with an open mind then go to the web site that I have listed. I think you will see that what they can't tell you about the Mason's can harm them in the end. Please read the information on the website. prayon |

The Masonic Bible The Oxford University Press publishes a special edition of the Bible for presentation to Masonic candidates containing a declaration that "the Bible itself is a symbol - that is, a part taken for the whole" ..and in the same edition, Dr. Fort Newton explains that, "the whole includes God's revelation through the Bible, the Koran, the Vedas, etc" Masonic Record, June 1926 in an article by Bro. T.H.R entitled "What are our landmarks?" "The second landmark is the Volume of Sacred Law open in the Lodge. But the Bible is not more than one of the Great Lights, and never has been, for the reason that Masons are not required to believe its teachings ..The stern fact is that we are constantly admitting Hindus, Chinese, Mohammedans, Parsees and Jews, not one of whom believes in the Bible, and this forces the conclusion that masonry regards the Bible only as a symbol" The Bible is the only 'Volume of Sacred Law open in the lodges of western nations (USA / UK) leading many there to assume a measure of Christianity. The Volume(s) open in a lodge simply reflects that particular nation's religious leaning at that point in time. In Singapore for instance there are five 'Volumes of Sacred Law' open upon the altar. http://www.cri-ireland.co.uk/fmasonry/bible.htm |

Brandi - You have proved my point better than I have! Anything that states "the Bible in itself is a symbol - that is, a part taken for the whole" or that the "Bible is not more than one of the Great Lights, and never has been" is an organization that Christians should NEVER be a part of. These teachings are not of God and if it is not of God the only other alternative is that they are of Satan. I could back up what I am saying with numerous scriptures and will be glad to supply them if you like. prayon
