then where did the horse that Jesus rides come from? What about Rev 5:11 or 12 where he says that the Angels, the Elders, and the ANAMIALS are around the throne? I am sorry, but I believe that the Greek word zoe for life and describes all life including Jesus's reseraction life all the way down to carrots tells me that the life that God gives is His. So why wouldn't the anaimals be in heaven. THe only problem that is see is that human kind is sometimes so arragent that they just don't believe there is anyone as valuable as themselves.

The salient question, it seems to me ticsal, is not of man's arrogance or of what we may think of the nature of animals or the nature of human beings. The only question worth addressing is what does God say about man and what does He say about animals and the other elements of His marvelous creation. We learn from the Genesis account of creation that God made man -- man -- in His own image; that God commanded man (Adam) -- male and female (Gen. 1:27) -- to "fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." (Gen.1:28). It is man, not animals, for whom Jesus shed his precious blood on the Cross. To speculate that God sees animals as being on a par with man is to alter the clear teaching of Scripture. To say that animals have both soul and spirit is not grounded in Scripture by any means. It is fine to love animals; they are wonderous creations by the hand of the transcendent and sovereign God. But it is gross error to assign them a pecking order on an equal par with man. God has already spoken clearly what role the animals have and we should be most wise to pay attention to what He says about it and keep our worthless musings out of the picture. --Hank
