My problem with your reference to MacArthur is that it is not HIS words you are quoting from his book! --Joe! |

Zach Apologize now! Then you probably need to go to the Lord and ask for forgiveness, because you slandered a brother in the Lord with an untruth. The quote you contribute to MacArthur is really MacArthur quoting R. B. Thieme from his Book Apes Peacocks or the pursuit of Happiness. MacArthur calls this philosophy a "damning lie". The quote came from page 98 and is listed with footnote number 4. If you used another source for this information you now know that source is untrustworthy and to be discounted. Anyone that knows MacArthur also knows he would never say anything like this. I think he is one of the brightest and best bible scholar/teacher we have today. And that comes from a non Calvinist Pentecostal. Your wrong brother apologize!!! EdB |

Zach: Since you apparently don't have a copy of the book itself, exactly where did YOU get the quote you posted? Was it from a Web site? If so, please post it so that we can all have a looksie. Thanks for your honesty! --Joe! |

Joe; I had the book. I read the book, and saved the quote I found in it to a file I have. I no longer have the book.I donated it to a church library. If someone does have the book, I would appreciate it if someone who does possess the book would quote not only what I posted, but also all that precedes that quote, plus any information that comes after it, and then let us see for ourselves. No one here has actually posted anything from the book except for me. Grace and peace be multiplied unto thee. zach† |
