Hi Makarios, I thought you said we had to stick to the scriptures? You done broke your first rule with the second sentence in this posting. And later on in your posting the words you wrote after Gen 49:10 is also yours and not the Bibles. Here is another one you added: "This is God the Father in Heaven saying to God the son." Do you know how many Bibles you can go through and you will never find " God the son?" *In order for you to understand the Bible without adding your own thoughts and writing them down, you will need to go to the beginning and find out the difference between large letters "LORD" and small letters "Lord" why they were susbtituted and what the names were in the original Hebrew. *Hint: The Orthodox Jews were afraid to speak the "Divine" name. |

I am sure that Makarios is aware of the difference between YHWH and Adonai. Both are used of God the Father, and Jesus emplyed the divine name to describe Himself as well (John 8:56-59). In every translation which shows the "ego eimi" of John 8:58 in the present tense, just like it is in the Greek, we see exactly why the Jews were so enraged at this statement. There is no doubt that Jesus described Himself as being one in essence and in purpose and in activity with God the Father. --Joe! |
