You wrote: "You can mention Jehovah's witnesses as much as you like, this will never cover up the fact the trinity was created by Emperors and clergymen with their minds corrupted more about power and less about christianity" Well, why even investigate anything if nothing is going to change your mind about the "true" history of the Trinity? Save your money and let someone else tell you what to believe! You wrote: "*You cannot change history and how a Doctrine developed from history" You are absolutely correct. However, a group with an agenda can always withhold evidence from a non-critical audience to "prove its point." The question remains as to which group is playing fast and loose with the truth here. "*Execution was done in the past against people who did not go along with the Trinity doctrine." Execution has gone all throughout human history for countless reasons. That has no bearing on the truth or falsehood of the Trinity. In Yemen today, I would be killed for espousing a Trinitarian God. That does not mean that I am right or wrong. It just means that someone doesn't like what I am saying. "**This is the doctrine you support." This is what the Bible teaches. "**And this is the Doctrine you are teaching young adults." When I can, yes. "**Are you practicing what you preach and teaching these things about paganism and execution for not believing in the Trinity Doctrine to your students?" Paganism has nothing to do with the Trinity, and see my notes on execution above. I think we have already sais just about everything we can to each other. I have examined in great detail the doctrine of the Trinity, the Biblical support of it, its history, and arguments against it (after all, how do you think I identified the source of your quotes so easily?). The fact is that history clearly testifies that the Trinity was not some fourth-century invention, and that the Bible clearly reveals there to be one God existing eternally in three Persons. The only evidence that you have presented in defense of your anti-Trinitarianism is a cut-and-paste from a JW pamphlet, which could hardly be classified as having done your homework. Go back over all of the material I have posted this weekend. Examine it for yourself. If after careful examination you have any substantive attacks against what these early Christian writers and contemporary Bible scholars have to say, I eagerly await your learned analysis. --Joe! |

TRINITY?...Hi Joe, maybe you can help me with this verse: Psalm 110:1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool- KJV I guess my question would be this: Would The "Lord" take himself out of himself as the "LORD" to place himself next to himself at his right hand until he makes his enemies his footstool? |

Wannabe, I can answer you, with my very first post that I ever wrote for this Forum! :-) Here it is once again, 3,620 posts later! "Jesus, the Messiah, Deliverer, Son of God and King of Kings, was concieved by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. The fullness of the Godhead dwelt bodily in Jesus while he was in every way a human being. Jesus was not fathered by any man, since no man had been with Mary (Luke 1:34). And Joseph, Mary's betrothed husband, at first struggled to accept this fact but later accepted it (Matthew 1:19-25). But Jesus had to be 'brought up' or 'brought forth' from the line of David; he Himself had to find his earthly beginnings and achieve his earthly ministry while being of the Kingly heritage of David. God's promise to David is ultimately fulfilled by Jesus as David's 'descendant' of whom it was promised in 2 Samuel 7:16, and in the line of Judah in Genesis 49:10: both fulfilled by the Lord Jesus Christ! And Luke 3:23-38 shows the 'direct line' genealogy from Mary, the vessel in which God used to deliver His only Son into this world, all the way down to David, and it even goes from David to Adam! And if you look in Matthew 1:1-17, you can see how Joseph, who was the step-father of Jesus, was also in the Kingly heritage, being a descendant of King David. So Jesus was in fact a descendant of David as well as being part of the royal heritage as promised by God. Now you ask: "What do you think about the Christ, whose son is He?" (Matthew 22:41-46) They said to Him, "The son of David." Jesus said to them, "Then how does David in the Spirit call him 'Lord', saying, "THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, 'SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I PUT YOUR ENEMIES BENEATH YOUR FEET' '? If David then calls him 'Lord', how is He his son?" Very good question! Here is the answer: Jesus was a descendant of David while he dwelt upon this earth, but He has always been and has always existed as God. He was never created by God but has always existed as part of the Godhead with His Father and the Holy Spirit. In this passage (Matthew 22:41-46), David called upon the Lord during his life, even the Lord Jesus! Now he says, 'THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD'.. This is God the Father in heaven saying to God the Son, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND UNTIL I PUT YOUR ENEMIES BENEATH YOUR FEET." So God the Son ascended into heaven to assume His Lordship at God the Father's right hand until the time when Jesus will return to earth in the Second Coming of Christ. So this is how the Lord Jesus is David's Lord (whom David called upon) and also David's son, or descendant, at the same time. I hope that this explanation helps. I use the New American Standard Bible ('95), which is my very favorite translation!" Blessings to you, Makarios |

Hi Makarios, I thought you said we had to stick to the scriptures? You done broke your first rule with the second sentence in this posting. And later on in your posting the words you wrote after Gen 49:10 is also yours and not the Bibles. Here is another one you added: "This is God the Father in Heaven saying to God the son." Do you know how many Bibles you can go through and you will never find " God the son?" *In order for you to understand the Bible without adding your own thoughts and writing them down, you will need to go to the beginning and find out the difference between large letters "LORD" and small letters "Lord" why they were susbtituted and what the names were in the original Hebrew. *Hint: The Orthodox Jews were afraid to speak the "Divine" name. |

Ha! Wannabe, What continued mindless nonsense! :-) Please tell me that Matthew 14:33 doesn't say "God the Son".. :-) Wannabe, you are in very bad company! :-) For you see, EVEN THE DEMONS acknowledge that Jesus was God! (Matt. 8:29) :-) Are you then worse off than a demon? Or are you listening to the 'doctrine of demons' that you have found in the Watchtower Organization? Let me take you to Sunday School and show you the basics of the Christian faith.. - Makarios |

Hi Makarios, I'm not sure what Bible you are reading from but I am reading from a very popular King James Version: Mathew 14:33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. |

There you go, wannabe! You have the truth! :-) Jesus Christ was the Son of God. What do we mean by "Son of God"? Jesus was never "created" by the Father in heaven. Jesus has always existed (Hebrews 13:8, John 1:1, 1 John 1:1). Therefore, we can also say that Jesus is "God the Son." Do you believe that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh? You don't have to be a "Wannabe" forever, you know. - Makarios |

Hi Makarios, Yes of course Jesus existed in Heaven with the Almighty God before he was sent. You see what you do when you take from the Bible "the Son of God" and reverse it to "God the Son" You have made in your own words the son superior or equal to God Almighty but when the Bible says "the Son of God" it is telling us the son is not on the same level as God or God himself would have written it that way and not relied on a trinitarian sitting in front of his computer twisting his words. As I stated earlier if you study your Biblical history, you will be shocked to discover the ONLY name ever written next to "God Almighty" is the "Divine" name I mentioned in my other posting. Proverbs 8:22-30 will explain quite well the position Christ had in Heaven with the Father before he was sent. *You cannot reverse or add to this in order to understand it. |

Hi Jm Scott, yes he did come in his Fathers name. You will need to go to the library or your computer for Biblical references and you will see Jesus own name means "Jehovah is salvation" Joshua, Jonathan etc... have the meaning of Jehovahs name, Jonathan means "Jehovah has given" This "Divine" name is in hebrew "Yahweh or Yehowah" Please research this for yourself, for I cannot keep using the "Divine" name to defend arguments in a chat room. * Study the third commandment -Best Wishes |

hey i agree with you!......believe me i know what the divine name means....which he gave himself....not any human...which he said would last forever....Read exodous..6th chapt...any living jew could tell you that...put it this way:if your name is tom...and you came in your father's name would it not resemble some part of his name "tom"?....i will give you an example..using prophets...all of them had a resemblance of god's name in them..1.Elijah2.Hezekiah or yah.3.Obadaih..or yah4.Jeremiah all had a form of god's name.....what part of jesus resembles jehovah? Can you say yaweh right now?if you can then this proves we can use his divine name....right now and not replace it with lord!....thanks | ||||||
