Ps 104:4 4Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire. Heb 1:7 "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire." The Holy spirit is Gods Holy Angels, his most trusted, most loyal, God transforms them in to spirits and sends them forth to work with his profits and ministers to give them power and the knowledge to do Gods will and they take care of many other things as well. Angel: a spiritual being, subordinate to God, who serves at God's command and pleasure to deliver His messages, help people or punish His enemies, (Harper's Bible Dictionary). Holy Spirit: The mysterious power or presence of God in nature or with individuals and communities, inspiring or empowering them with qualities they would not otherwise possess. The word spirit translates in Hebrew and Greek to wind, and breath (Harpers Bible Dictionary). These two definitions are totally different so how can the Holy Spirit be made up of angels? The Holy Spirit is a part of the Holy Trinity. I have never read that angels are a part of the trinity, have you? Considering the fact that God and the Holy Spirit are one how can the Holy Spirit, according to your definition and the above definition, be subordinate to Himself? |

Thank you, prayon, for a clear, Scriptural answer, one that is universally agreed upon among evangelicals. Looking it up in a reliable, trustworthy reference work, in this case Harper's Bible Dictionary, shows good judgment as well as good scholarship on your part. If only more post-ers would first look it up instead of making it up, they would have more credibility than they do. | ||||||
