Bible Question:
What is the Holy Spirit? For the record, the Holy Spirit is a "He" not an "it." He is a "who" not a "what." So the primary question would be better phrased, "Who is the Holy Spirit?" On the other hand, whatever the question, the answer is NOT "The Holy spirit is Gods Holy Angels." See also Craig L. Blomberg", pp. 347-348, Baker Theological Dictionary of the Bible, Baker Books, 1996. Available in print and also online at http://bible.crosswalk.com/Dictionaries/BakersEvangelicalDictionary/ Look up: "Holy Spirit" in Baker's. The Father is God. The Son is God. The Holy Spirit is God. The Holy Spirit is a person -- not an it, not a what, not merely an influence, and certainly NOT angels -- but a PERSON. (To Whom It May Concern: That was some clarification of the Holy Spirit. Only 3 "things" in heaven, the Father, the son and the angles? And maybe satan? My only question is: To support your opinion could you cite chapter and verse please? CHAPTER AND VERSE. . . . I see the answer is: NO, you cannot cite chapter and verse for your assertion.) What next? Are we going to be told we should be baptizing in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Angels? |
