Subject: What is the Holy Spirit? |
Bible Note: Angel: a spiritual being, subordinate to God, who serves at God's command and pleasure to deliver His messages, help people or punish His enemies, (Harper's Bible Dictionary). Holy Spirit: The mysterious power or presence of God in nature or with individuals and communities, inspiring or empowering them with qualities they would not otherwise possess. The word spirit translates in Hebrew and Greek to wind, and breath (Harpers Bible Dictionary). These two definitions are totally different so how can the Holy Spirit be made up of angels? The Holy Spirit is a part of the Holy Trinity. I have never read that angels are a part of the trinity, have you? Considering the fact that God and the Holy Spirit are one how can the Holy Spirit, according to your definition and the above definition, be subordinate to Himself? |
