Using the concordance feature at (http://bible.crosswalk.com/OnlineStudyBible/) I made an interesting discovery. This is what I found when I looked for the words lose and salvation in the same verse; and also when I looked for the words lost and salvation in the same verse. King James Version "Your search query for 'lose salvation' did not return any results. Please modify your search query and try again." "Your search query for 'lost salvation' did not return any results. Please modify your search query and try again." Please note: the information above is NOT MY OPINION of anything. These are objective, verifiable FACTS. There is no place in the King James Bible in which the words lose and salvation or lost and salvation occur in the same verse. It just isn't there. |

Discipled: :-) I love it, too. One of the things I most like about it is that it is NOT MY OPINION. Around here you could quote verbatim John 3:16, with no comment of your own. And somebody would still write in and ask: "What do you mean by that?" "Why didn't you include verses 15 and 17, too? Are you trying to take away from the words of this Book?" "What do you mean by 'believe'?" "The translators of this version were in error or deliberately misleading people." "This is only your opinion." "Jesus made a mistake here. He forgot and left out the truth that you need to be baptized, too. Only then will you have everlasting life." "Let me work backwords into the original Greek to get at the meaning of the word." "Blah, blah, blah, blah." Thanks for writing, Discipled. Grace and peace to you, kalos |

Kalos, It would seem those who dialogue in here are just like the people i run into from time to time. And I too have been caught up in seeing more into a question or wondering why someone didnt give a better or more meaningful explanation. YET, we may find the simplest answers are the best and probably more in tune to how the Lord would have answered them. That is unless you go into parables ...ehehehe...for an answer. I certainly would enjoy further correspondence from you if you care to .... for me...iron sharpens iron as one man does for another....rightly dividing the word is what i desire the most(i hate to convolute the Word if i can help it) . I have found some very provacative words from many others in this forum and i would enjoy dialogue with anyone who cares to...so here is my email address. josh2415@bigfoot.com i am considering changing my nickname....its current status makes me sound like im a done product...when i am not...i should probably change it to BeingDiscipled....or something to that effect. I should have considered a bit more thought before making it my nick. My apologies to anyone to whom may think I am being arrogant using the past tense term. *Shalom* |
