1 | Question for you Both? | Bible general Archive 1 | Makarios | 13583 | ||
Dear Bro. Tom, If you do not believe that Jesus was GOD Himself and without sin, then you are not saved, my friend! Yes, you are "right" in saying that "no where in what you have stated to me thus far comes out and says Jesus was God", but the references in the Bible (the Bible VERSES that I have cited) DO explain this TRUTH- that Jesus was God in every way! The Bible will explain this, not me! Do you have a Bible? If you do not, then look up each Scripture that I have cited previously in the "Get Bible Text" function to the right of the screen. Another thing, Jesus was never "MADE INTO" God! Let me ask you: What is your interpretation of Hebrews 13:8? It says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!" How do you deal with that in light of your assumptions? You will NEVER be able to convince me of this TRUTH- that Jesus was, in fact, God Himself! And I pray that you will not lead ANY others astray by this false teaching. You are a Muslim. Did you get this out of the Quran? You will not get anywhere here by challenging the essential doctrine of our Faith! What you have done is like this: If a Christian were to write a post to an Islamic Forum and say that Muhammad never received any revelation at all from God. But what you have done is so much more grevious than the example that I have stated here because we hold that Jesus Christ was never "just a prophet" but that He was fully God even while walking upon the earth! Jesus Christ has an 'intimate relationship' with those whom He calls His own, and we cannot stand for anyone to allege that He was not God. In other words, what you have stated are "fighting words"! We cannot let your assumption (that Jesus at some point was not God) go unchallenged. It is OK to ask a question, like "If Jesus was fully God, then why did He have to be "made perfect?" but you cannot jump onto a Christian Forum and assault the very essential of our Faith! This is why I am provoked to respond to you in the way that I have and I have Scripture to back up everything that I say. If you continue to make any other such assertions about Christianity (yourself being a Muslim), then you will only be met with opposition. --Nolan |

I want to say a big thank you to all who have one way or the other contributed to the question I posted. I want to assure you that I have sent an answer which i believe is based on biblical truth to the muslim who wrote to me with the question. The summary of what I wrote to him is that Jesus came to the earth, truly man and truly God. The Bible says that "...He thought it not robbery to be equal with God" Phil 2:6 Concerning Adam's nature compared with Jesus nature, the bible says, " The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit." These are just a few of the references I used to 'educate' our dear muslim friend trusting that the Lord will open his eyes of understanding so that he might know the truth and be free. Thank you all for your responses, they were really beneficial. |
