Hank, Your passages are weak proof and must be harmonized with passages that say you can fall from grace (Galatians 5:3-5; 2 Cor. 6:1,2; Heb. 6:6; Rev. 2:5). Do you have any verses that say you can't lose your salvation, no matter what, because all of the passage you provided Tamreneee are true only if man has no free will. I believe man has free will, so that's the one element you don't consider. Please don't flatter me, I only have what God has given through the inspired Word. Good day, Disciplerami |

To the best of my knowledge of the Book, there is not a gray area concerning one's salvation. There are way too many scriptures that teach us we know we are saved IF WE REPENT AND ALWAYS OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS. His commandments are not suggestions. No where in the Book does it teach once you follow the Books's plan of salvation are you allowed to continue in a willfully sinful life. Such as an adulterous marriage; reveling (nightclubs, parties, dancing, drinking, etc.); theft, lying, homosexual relationship, hatred, etc. Yes, believing Jesus is the son of God is one of the steps towards one's salvation, but read all N.T. scriptures ... the Bible is very clear that: Lest ye repent, ye shall likewise perish. And, remember, satan also believed.... and he trembled. Will satan be Heaven? I think not. If God intended for us to be saved no matter how sinful we lived, would He have bothered with His many scriptures teaching us otherwise? Are His commandments mere suggestions? Or, do you think He meant for His commandments to be obeyed? Why does the Bible teach: There will be more people in hell than Heaven? If once saved, always saved is God's teaching and philosophy, then no one will burn, right? But, the Bible is clear: More in hell than Heaven. All we can do is pray for understanding and strength to always strive to obey His commandments and walk in the light as He is in the light. Remember, God knows your mind and your heart. He knows we are only humans who are weak, and will sin and fall short. On the same note, He commands us to pray each day for forgiveness of these shortcomings, and strength to repent.
