1 | Adultery, Married, Should I now divorce? | 1 John 2:1 | D.D.1961 | 46489
Can a person who was saved and then committed adultery and married the person still go to Heaven if they acknowledge that what they did was wrong and they are sorry about it as well. I did this and I am deeply troubled by what I did because I know God forbids it. Sometimes I just feel so disgusted with myself, but it is done and over with. I am sorry, but love my husband (who I previously committed adultery with). Should I divorce him now and remain single even though I love him. I don't think this would please God either. I just feel so discusting now and worry about not being forgiven (even though it says I am). You can be honest and hard on me, but please don't be too harsh...I really am sorry.

Scripture ... Mal 2:16; Jhn 3:16-17; Rom 3:22-26, 1 Jo 1:5-2:2 ... D.D.1961, greetings and welcome to the forum. Before I start - I think you and your husband should seek wise Christian counsel. This forum is not qualified. The only sin that will keep you out of heaven is unbelief. God hates divorce, so I think it would be wrong to do so ... BUT agaain seek a qualified person to answer your question. Hope this helps, Searcher |
