AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 2:1 My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God's law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father's will in every way--purpose, thought, and action]. |
Bible Question (short): Adultery, Married, Should I now divorce? |
Question (full): Can a person who was saved and then committed adultery and married the person still go to Heaven if they acknowledge that what they did was wrong and they are sorry about it as well. I did this and I am deeply troubled by what I did because I know God forbids it. Sometimes I just feel so disgusted with myself, but it is done and over with. I am sorry, but love my husband (who I previously committed adultery with). Should I divorce him now and remain single even though I love him. I don't think this would please God either. I just feel so discusting now and worry about not being forgiven (even though it says I am). You can be honest and hard on me, but please don't be too harsh...I really am sorry. |
