1 | How do we get saved, by baptism? | 1 Pet 3:21 | Tamara Brewington | 203712
What do you believe is the truth about how to get saved, do you believe that it is necessary to get baptized to get saved, or do you believe that salvation is granted as soon as you believe; base your answer on your assessment of Galatians 5:4, Romans 11:2,3, I Peter 1:4,5, Romans 8:37-39?
2 | How do we get saved, by baptism? | 1 Pet 3:21 | Makarios | 203812
Greetings Tamara Brewington, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8 Baptism does not save us. Only a genuine saving faith in Christ will save us. As soon as you believe in and place your faith in Christ, you are saved. There is no way that one could use Galatians 5:4, Romans 11:2,3, 1 Peter 1:4,5 or Romans 8:37-39 in a way to show that baptism is a requirement for salvation without adding something unBiblical to those verses. Blessings to you, Makarios |
