1 | Quality of faith | Heb 11:7 | terrib | 152679 | ||
(Hebrews 11:7 KJV) By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Does this mean that he will be judged by the quality of his faith? |

If I may be so rude as to squeeze a question in here for Doc. I'd like to ask is what your saying in a nut shell that ALL must believe in the Christ, either as a promise to come or as a fulfilled promise? That's quite insightful, I had never thought of salvation in that way. |

Hi, Crazy Equine... Well, it isn't my insight. As you can tell from my discussion with Terrib, I believe that this is what Paul is saying in Romans 4. As we consider the whole of Scripture, I see that it does come down to believing God's word or not... and, since Christ is the Word incarnate (cf. John 1, Hebrews 1:1-2, etc.) then it fits the story of redemption, Genesis 1 to Revelation 22. However, I'm glad I've given you something new to think about. Search the Scriptures to see if these things be so! :-) Speaking of which, the goal of great theology is not to discover something new that no one has ever thought about. Christianity isn't like that. Mostly its just uncovering what God says right there in front of us. His insights contain all the sagacity and profundity! :-) In Him, Doc |
