1 | Is NASB better than other translations? | 2 Tim 2:15 | Morant61 | 212003 | ||
Greetings MJH! For a cheap resource, go to www.blueletterbible.org and go the Hebrews. When you get to the verse you want, click on the 'c' and you will find a chart with all of the parts of speech and tenses listed for the Greek text. There are books that you can buy, called Analytical Concordance, that do the same thing but they tend to be expensive. Part of the fun of translating is that there is no set way that one must translate a verb all of the time. Sometimes, there are shades of meaning that can only be brought out by a less literal translation. :-) However, one must be very careful to stay true to the text. I hope that site helps you in your studies! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Thanks, This is awesome. I will bookmark it and use it often. If I have any questions about why they translated differently, maybe I'll ask your opinion, because I understand this isn't as simple as it may seem. MJH |
