The rapture will NOT happen until... ...after the son of destruction (i.e. Antichrist) is revealed. 'In his second letter to the Thessalonians, Paul tells more details of the rapture of the Church. He states, 'Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him [i.e. rapture], that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God (2 Thess 2:1-4). 'Paul tells the Thessalonian believers that the coming of the Lord and the rapture of the Church will NOT happen until after the son of destruction (i.e. Antichrist) is revealed when he takes his seat in the temple and demands the world's worship. In other words, the rapture of the church will NOT happen until AFTER the beginning of the Great Tribulation.' ____________________ To read more go to: http://solagroup.org/articles/endtimes/ep_0012.html |

2 | The rapture will NOT happen until... | 2 Thess 2:3 | mark d seyler | 148712 | ||
2Th 2:1 ¶ Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. What was the concern of the Thessalonian believers? That the Lord had already come, and the the saints gathered together, and that the "Day of Christ" was at hand. This is key to understanding this passage, as many mis-interpret it. Paul responds telling them "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;" What day will not come until these things happen first? The Day of Christ. What is it following? The falling away (which is even translate by some as "departure", and the revealling of the man of sin. Since the first prophecied act of the "prince who is to come" is the confirming of a covenant for 1 week, this, not the abomination of desolation, becomes the revealing point. Paul, writing to the Thessalonian church, goes on to describe things this man of sin will do, but does not state that this is the "revealing" of the man of sin. Paul is describing the man of sin as the one who opposes God, he is not saying that the rapture will not happen until after these descriptions of what the man of sin will do. By so much else that Paul and others have written we know that the Wrath of the Lord begins immediadely after the beginning of the 70th week, and the church must be removed before the Wrath of the Lord is begun. The Ezekiel 38-39 prophecy described the exact same events as the beginning of the Day of the Lord as described by Isaiah, and by John, calling it the wrath of God, and states that the weapons of war will be burn for fuel for 7 years. But we know that when Jesus returns, the weapons of war will be turned into farm tools. And this is just one of many many ways the Bible shows the rapture before the 70th week. Don't just listen to me, and don't simply believe a website. We could swap websites all day long. Simple read the Bible. In all the 1000's of words spoken in the Bible about this end times, none were giving to the church to say they would endure the 70th week, and what was said tells us to expect deliverence from wrath. Rejoice, for our King is coming, to deliver the righteous, and judge the wicked. Love in Christ, Mark |
