1 | Partly under the Law? | Col 2:14 | swerv | 146111 | ||
Mark: Jesus death on cross and shedding of blood was the fulfillment of things to come. The sacrificial system was replaced by the Perfect Lamb being sacrificed for our sins. You are right that the moral law still stands and will continue to point our sin in our lives and the world. There was a specific reason why the 10 commandments were put inside the ark while the mosaic law was put on the side of the ark. We are to follow the law of the new covenant which is written on our heart. The penalty for sin is death. The question is will we be apart of the resurection to life or the resurection to death. The second death is final (meaning eternal) God is able to destroy both body and soul. I personally believe that Hell is not a place by a eternal destruction of fire. Thus meaning that the death by fire which will destroy us is eternal meaning we will never life again or be resurected. But we will NOT be in that hell fire forever because it will destroy us. Words like everlasting, eternal and for ever and ever had to be carefully interpreted because many people believe that we have an immortal soul as soo as we die and they believe in an eternal place of torment and fire. Just common sense and knowing God is a just and loving God will make anyone think twice about this incorrect doctrine. Look forward to your comments, Merv |

Merv Please, reconsider your thoughts on The second Death (Hell). It is true God is a just and loving God. But, He will do what He say. And the Bible tells us this is Just. Gods Love (agape) is quite different from what many of us think. |
