1 | "The Great Commission" ? | Col 1:23 | Derowr | 192800
Has "The Great Commission" been fulfilled? "And The Messiah said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach The Gospel To Every Creature."(Mark 16:15) and then Paul testified that "The Great Commission" was fulfilled....... "be not moved away from the hope of The Gospel, which you have heard, and Which WAS Preached To Every Creature which is under heaven;"(Col 1:23) The Gospel(Good News) was "The Kingdom of GOD(Heaven) is at hand"....... Paul testified that the so-called "great commission" was fulfilled....... and The Kingdom of GOD(Heaven) HAS Come and IS"....... so what is it the catholic's and christian's are preaching today? sadly, if you tell people lies often enough, and over a long period of time, they then will believe the lies and reject the truth ;-( yet, while there is breath(spirit) there is hope! for Miracles do happen! hope is there would be those who experience The Miracle that is "receiving a love of The Truth". for they will "see" "THY Kingdom Has Come", indeed and Truth! peace, in spite of the dis-ease(no-peace) that is of this world for, "the WHOLE world is under the control of the evil one"....... francisco |

Derowr, I beg your pardon, the Great Commission has not been fulfilled. I don't know what version of the Bible you are using nor do I know your 'frame of reference.' The NASB does not say nor indicate "was." The rendering is "the Gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven,..." The KJV renders it preached 'to' every creature. The Greek for to is the preposition 'ev' which means "in" that means "within definate space or limits." The Great Commission will not be fulfilled until the return of Christ to rule and reign. So, my friend, please clearify exactly what you mean and are trying to say. InGodITrust |

3 | "The Great Commission" ? | Col 1:23 | Derowr | 192802
rather simple for those who have received "a love of The Truth". no need for further explanation. The Gospel(Good News) was "The Kingdom of GOD(Heaven) is at hand"....... Paul testified that the so-called "great commission" was fulfilled....... "be not moved away from the hope of The Gospel, which you have heard, and Which WAS Preached To Every Creature which is under heaven;"(Col 1:23) and The Kingdom of GOD(Heaven) HAS Come and IS"....... so what is it the catholic's and christian's are preaching today? |

Derowr, Since you insist on being evasive in your response there is no need for one. I believe what you are proposing is out of the guidlines of the SBF. If this is the case, sir, you need to take your thoughts and erroneous position somewhere else as what you are saying is heresy. InGodITrust |

5 | "The Great Commission" ? | Col 1:23 | Derowr | 192804
is bearing witness to The Truth against the "guidelines"? as for evasive? just because you don't understand, does that make me evasive? |

Derowr, I will just let the Forum 'watchdogs' deal with you. I have nothing more to say to a person who thinks he has "The Truth," when all o Biblical Christianity considers your opinions heresy. InGodITrust |

7 | "The Great Commission" ? | Col 1:23 | Derowr | 192815
there are many, many "christians" who believe that "the great commission" has been fulfilled. they are called preterists, however, i reject that label. those who war against Truth are the real heretics. |

Greetings Derowr! Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! What might the mystery of Christ be and why would Paul seek the brethren to pray that God would open a door for the word so he could speak the mystery of Christ? If the job had already been completed who was Paul going to speak the Mystery of Christ to and why would he need to? Colossians 4:3 (NASB) praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned Steve PS. I hope you are here to seek and share the truth and when confronted with the truth in scripture you are willing to change your views to align with scripture. After all, you don't want to "war against Truth" and label yourself a heretic :-) |

9 | "The Great Commission" ? | Col 1:23 | Derowr | 192822
why do you war against Truth? quite clear here that Paul does not speak of The Gospel being proclaimed but "the mystery of The Messiah". The Gospel was no mystery, simply, "The Kingdom of Heaven(GOD) is at hand"....... and "The Kingdom of Heaven(GOD)" DID COME after the earthly, natural kingdom of jerusalem was destroyed, and of course "The Kingdom of GOD(Heaven)" yet IS and always will BE....... HalleluYAH!
