1 | "the two" and "one new man" refer to? | Eph 2:15 | azurelaw | 216187
Does "the two" here refer to "both groups (the Jews and gentiles)" in v14? If so, what does "into one NEW MAN" mean? Does it refer to the true church (the body of Christ)? Thanks for your help. Shalom Azure |

2 | "the two" and "one new man" refer to? | Eph 2:15 | PaulusSecundus | 216467
Note the context: 2:11 mentions "the Gentiles in the flesh." 2:12 mentions "the commonwealth of Israel." These are the "both groups," or "the two." What is "the one new man"? 2:16 says that Jesus 'reconciled them both in one body to God.' So, the one new man is the "one body" of Christ, which is made up of both Jews and Gentiles. (Ephesians 3:6, 21; 4:4-6) Paulus. |
