1 | Is habitualy working out acceptable? | Gal 5:13 | DavidHamilton7 | 112719
I thoroughly enjoy working out, i do it when i can, i'd say maybe 3-4 days a week max 2.5 hours. Plus i get to play pick up basketball with others which I also thoroughly enjoy. The reason I ask this question is because i feel like my conscience is telling me I'm loving something else other than the Lord. But my thoughts to that are that I might be going too far with questioning my motives. It seems as though everything that i begin to enjoy on this earth, things other than praying, reading the bible, and going to church, brings that same sense of guilt. I think about all this and I reason within myself that this is not of God, but I continue to have it though I continue to fight it. It's either the devil trying to make me miserable, or on the other hand its the Lord letting me know something...whats your opinion?
2 | Is habitualy working out acceptable? | Gal 5:13 | CDBJ | 112735
Hi David H, Here is what the Bible says about it. 1 Tim. 4:7-8 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 8For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. It doesn’t say that exercise is of no profit but that it profiteth little. CDBJ |
