1 | Is tithing a command for chriatians? | 2 Cor 9:7 | Beja | 214801 | ||
The answers being given which argue that malachi chapter 3 doesn't apply to the church are arguing from a dispensational view point with regards to the church and Israel. As dispensational thought falls, so do their answers. I leave you all to your own thoughts on this. As for me I think it does apply to us. In Love, Beja |

Hello Beja, I appreciate and respect your answer. Thought I do hold to a decidedly dispensational framework, I'm not purposing that it is the "end-all". My purpose was not to contrast the law with grace and affirm we're not under a legal standard (obligation if you will) in regards to our giving. Instead, we're to be motivated by God's grace- what He has done for us in Christ Jesus! (Rom. 6:14) I still would maintain that we need to be careful of and take into consideration context when applying passsages such as Mal. 3:10. I hope this clarifies:-) Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
