1 | Denominations is shameful? | 1 Cor 3:4 | Joyce Ong | 92564
Thank you Joe for spelling it out for my reassurance that I am not hallucinating the erroneous ideas. I feel that some non catholic christians, like myself do not still understand enough of this difference. It is more exasperating that they continue to be blinded, their minds still veiled even when scriptures are shown. They have a way of explaining it away with church teachings and human ways which sounds like honouring man's ways above God's. This is my personal experience. My conclusion is to agree to disagree respectfully and so there should not be an encroachment of my privilege to relate to God differently.

One other thing to remember about Paul's admonition to the Corinthians is that Christ and Paul and Apollos and Peter were not at odds with one other. It's not like all of these individuals were seeking to take the gospel off into different doctrinal directions, nor were any of them on some "power trip." The factions that developed in Corinth could not have been based on theology or authority, because there were no schismatic authoritative or theological disputes among the apostles. --Joe! |
