survivor, I think it a stretch to interpret Pauls' words to be specifically aimed at a political party in general. Where in the context does he address politics? There is simply no scriptural prohibition against any specific political party. Yes, one can be a Democrat and be a Christian. Why couldn't they? ( Matt. 5:45) There are lost souls in both the Republican and Democrat parties. Morality does not find its' origin or exclusivity in any particular political party. I believe what he's getting at is that Democrats are for abortion, gay marriage, things that are definately against God's Word. I would say that no saved Christian would have any part of any party that goes against what the Bible teaches. | ||||||
