1 | Can a Christian be a Democrat? | 1 Cor 1:10 | Glory Bound | 134033 | ||
Point 1: There are biblical attributes to this person’s question. If such a discussion is inappropriate for this forum, perhaps this forum is not the forum it appears to be, a biblical discussion forum. Point 2: Being a Christian is not only believing in Christ, but living in Him, and teaching others to do the same. Being a Christian is much more than what you, dear soul, have denoted. Point 3: We cannot pass judgment on anyone, but it is by the authority of the Living Word that we ARE to judge on the ACTIONS of others. Point 4: Perhaps this person’s terminology could have been better chosen, but who are we to judge his heart, and what he is trying to say? Can we not simply correct the terminology? Are we not all “saved sinners,” or are there some among us who have no sin? Can you Hank, vote for one who is a murderer by association? Or are we, because we are Christians, not to vote, or advocate what it is we are to live by, the Word? If I were to knowingly vote for one who advocates abortion, would I not be just as guilty of killing that innocent infant as would be the doctor who sucked out the cranial matter (brains) from that tiny, helpless, living body? Some Christians desire just to sit on the sidelines and watch. I do not believe this is what Christ taught or why He lived, died and rose again. We are told not to be conformed to the world. We are not told to keep our mouth shut and just sit by and watch while the world is conformed to the enemy. GB |
