1 | Ez. 13:20 and the Rapture? | 1 Cor 15:51 | Morant61 | 18624
Greetings Casiv! May I ask what the prophecy against false prophets in Ez. 13:20 has to do with the doctrine of the rapture? Also, Margaret McDonald supposedly had a vision about the rapture, but the doctrine was around long before her vision. Check out this web site for more details: http://www.apostasynow.com/topics/trib/pretrib08.html This site, and others, demonstrate that belief in the rapture has been around much longer than 1830. The understanding of the timing has changed a lot over the years, but the doctrine itself has been around quite some time. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Thanks for the info Tim, I will check the site. However either way you look at it we read the Bible to put on our gospel armour to stand against the wiles of the devil. Christians are being taught that they will escape the antichrist and satan by flying away in the rapture. See Eph 14:4 to understand what the wiles are. The rapture is going to happen but not by who people are being taught. Why is it not all Christian denominations believe in the rapture? Ezekiel 13 says what God thinks about those who teach his children to fly, look at multiple bibles and see where the word fly has been taken out and ask yourself why. Its awesome how our FATHER knew people would be taught to fly as a deception and He wrote about it in the old testament.

Casiv, You might want to reread Ezekiel 13. The KJV is plain in stating that the Lord was releasing souls being hunted so they could fly from those trying to ensnare them. There is no hint of "teaching others to fly." Steve |

4 | Ez. 13:20 and the Rapture? | 1 Cor 15:51 | casiv | 18730
KJV from 1611 EZE 13:18 And," Thus saith the Lord God: Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of My people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you? EZE 13:19 And will ye pollute Me among My people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to My people that hear your lies? EZE 13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; "Behold I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls the ye hunt to make them fly. Perhaps you should read it over. They are hunting souls to make ( by teaching) them to fly. What don't you understand about this scripture? The FATHER is taking the souls back that were taught to fly, the ones lied to. |

I think I understand the disagreement between us. I say that "to make them fly" refers to God's desire to loose the bound souls that they might flee. You say the same phrase refers to the those who are doing the capturing. Would you give me a book title or website or something else to corroborate your interpretation? Steve |
