1 | Would you kindly explain this text. | 1 Cor 14:34 | LoveisKind3 | 20859
u have to understand the time period to understand that text. During the time it was written, men seated in one side and the women in the opposite side, when a subject came up, women would literally yelled at the other side (to their husband probably) with their opinions or comments, where it would be disruptive, cause they were being taught. So thats why Paul in his letter to the Corinthians stated that, to avoid confusion. If u read the whole chapter he is teaching them on how to use their gifts, probably they were all talking at the same time were it created confusion. Hope to have answered ur question. But read it urself and ask God to reveal it to u, with some study helps, like a concordance a dictionary and so on. God bless you. |

2 | Would you kindly explain this text. | 1 Cor 14:34 | john 146 | 96702
first off lets start with 1 Cor. 14:33 the latter half reads "As in all the congregations of the saints," VS-34 continues "women should remain silent in the churches."- I then ask you, do we not belong to a congregation of the saints?- any reference to yelling by women is non-scriptural; historically speaking the seating arangements may differ but I doubt that people would be so rude as to interupt a teacher in the middle of a sermon and yell "Hey honey, whats that mean?" And when you do go to scripture I think we can all agree it is pretty clear. Why are we looking for loop holes in scripture? Understand the times? LOL well in our time its okay to suck a live fetus from its mothers womb, should we then nulify any scripture that would disagree? Please people, remember that we are to submit to the will of God, not impose our opinions on the Most High God; who are we to force our opinions into scripture? His will be done, not ours.
