Bible Question: Would you kindly explain this text. |
Bible Answer: u have to understand the time period to understand that text. During the time it was written, men seated in one side and the women in the opposite side, when a subject came up, women would literally yelled at the other side (to their husband probably) with their opinions or comments, where it would be disruptive, cause they were being taught. So thats why Paul in his letter to the Corinthians stated that, to avoid confusion. If u read the whole chapter he is teaching them on how to use their gifts, probably they were all talking at the same time were it created confusion. Hope to have answered ur question. But read it urself and ask God to reveal it to u, with some study helps, like a concordance a dictionary and so on. God bless you. |
