1 | gifts of Healing and Miracles for today. | 1 Cor 12:9 | royalone | 187027
Noted a response by Hank concerning John McArthur bible stating that no one has or operates in the gift of healing today. This is not what the Bible says. If you noticed in Luke 10vs1.Not only were the Apostles given authority to cast out demons, heal the sick and raise the dead but also here in Luke 70 others who were not Apostles. Look at Luke 10:17 Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name. Also if you look at the Gifts to Gods people you will see in 1 Cor 12:7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.Further reading in verses 9 and 10 indicate gifts of healing and miracles. Why? look at 1 Cor 12:11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. Now for the clincher. 1 Cor 12:28 And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues. This is the new testament church for today beyond the apostles. To me anyone who says miracles are not for today needs to read these scriptures. Van
2 | gifts of Healing and Miracles for today. | 1 Cor 12:9 | Hank | 187029
Dear royalone (Van) - Welcome. Thanks for registering with SBF and for your first contribution. .... Regarding your first post, it has been my experience in more than 50 years as a church goer that apostles and prophets in the contemporary church are scarce, mighty scarce, so scarce in fact that in all these years I've never laid eyes on a single one of either of them. How about you? --Hank

Hbr 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. If anyone changed, it was the church (individual believers). "But when I, the Son of Man, return, how many will I find who have faith?" Luke 18:8 |

Thanks Aslans Friend, I hope we will continue to put the word we have been given through the gospel first, at all times so we will remain in the faith. M.Royal |
