1 | Law of the Spirit, life in Christ Jesus? | Rom 8:2 | DAIRYLEADER5 | 98345
Ray, you are right on the law of spirit. My thoughts are with Romans 9:4-5., Who are isrealites, to whom pertaineth the adoptionand the Glory, and the covenants, and the giveing of the law and the service of God and the promises, who are the fathers of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen. We have the spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba, Father. He is a Jew which is inward not of the outward apperance. The law of the spirit is where we all as believers in Christ Become Jews inwardly and become Isrealites under God. Just my thoughts Ray. I know what your going throu and my spirit and prayers are with you , my Brother. DL5
2 | Law of the Spirit, life in Christ Jesus? | Rom 8:2 | Ray | 98376
Hi DL5, I appreciate your spirit and your prayers for me as a brother in Christ. However, please don't misunderstand me or agree with me on something that I indeed did not say. You said that I was right on the "law of spirit" [sic]. However, I had expressed that I would have "law of the Spirit" capitalized for Romans 8:2. The "law of the Spirit" compared well to my mind with the "law of God in the inner man", Romans 7:22. Looking at Romans 8:15 we are in agreement for choosing the reception of a "spirit of adoption as sons"; for the Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. Romans 9:4-8 does not speak of the law of the Spirit however. Verse 5 talks of the Messiah, the (Man) according to the flesh; even the one God [and God is Spirit] who is blessed forever. So it is that verse 8 says that the children of the flesh are not children of God [for God is Spirit]. Rather, the children of the "promise" are regarded as descendants. And what is the "promise" if not the "spirit of adoption as sons" that we have received as believers. Let me hear from you. From the heart, Ray |

3 | Law of the Spirit, life in Christ Jesus? | Rom 8:2 | DAIRYLEADER5 | 98417
Hi Ray, I probably misunderstood you. All the verses you mentioned, I believe, is Pauls way of teaching us about a law not written by man but of God. Remember we as a gentile race use to worshep devils, because we never had any law accounted tous. But Paul is telling us thru Gods Son, we are not accountiable to the Spirit of Life in Christ. 2nd Cor 3:3.For some reason I keep looking back at Rom 9:6 I believe that there is a message there for the gentiles concerning the spirit of adoption.what do you think?
