1 | Who groans - us or the Holy Spirit? | Rom 8:26 | prayon | 148587
I take this statement another way - not that we do not know how to pray - We do, Jesus taught us in Matt 5:5-15. I believe that this statement means that we do not always know what we need to pray for. Too many times the flesh enters into our prayers and we pray for what our flesh would want which is not necessarily what we need. prayon |

Prayon : Good points! And don't we, perhaps without being aware of it, tend often to pray what is in essence, "My will be done" instead of earnestly seeking out and praying for God's will to be done on earth, in heaven -- and in our own lives as well? And when we pray for God's will to be done, do we in fact earnestly, deep down, desire God's will for our lives, or do we instead hunger after the gratification of our own lusts, of our own will? --Hank
