AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 8:26 ¶ In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. |
Subject: Who groans - us or the Holy Spirit? |
Bible Note: Prayon : Good points! And don't we, perhaps without being aware of it, tend often to pray what is in essence, "My will be done" instead of earnestly seeking out and praying for God's will to be done on earth, in heaven -- and in our own lives as well? And when we pray for God's will to be done, do we in fact earnestly, deep down, desire God's will for our lives, or do we instead hunger after the gratification of our own lusts, of our own will? --Hank |
