AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 8:26 ¶ In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. |
Subject: Who groans - us or the Holy Spirit? |
Bible Note: I take this statement another way - not that we do not know how to pray - We do, Jesus taught us in Matt 5:5-15. I believe that this statement means that we do not always know what we need to pray for. Too many times the flesh enters into our prayers and we pray for what our flesh would want which is not necessarily what we need. prayon |
