1 | People goto hev'n or hl not knowing God? | Rom 1:20 | gamewiz328 | 37820
Well, this girl from my school said, "God gives everyone a fair chance. If this person was not shared about Jesus Christ but realized that there's a greater being then he would go to heaven. But I asked my youth counselor, and he said, "Well, the only way a person can go to heaven is by having a relationship with God through Jesus Chrst. So if the person had never heard the Gospel, then they would not have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ."(Not exact words, but similar.)

I am glad that you are discussing these things at school. More students need to be talking about the most important things of all! Rather than give a long drawn-out paragraph here, I would encourage you to open your Bible and read Romans 1:18-20. Why does Paul say that everyone is without excuse in verse 20? What has God done that keeps anyone from saying that they did not know about God? Then read John 14:6 and Acts 4:12. What is the only way to heaven? Do these verses say that God gives anyone an excuse? Your youth counselor is right, so make sure that you give your friends the opportunity to respond to the wonderful news of Jesus Christ. Tell them about God's holiness (Habakkuk 1:13). Tell them about their own sin (Romans 3:10-18,23-24). Tell them about Jesus' perfect life, his death on a cross, and His resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-3). Then tell them they will go to Heaven by trusting completely in what Christ did (John 3:16). This is truly the only way to heaven, and they have to hear it if they are going to be saved (Romans 10:14). I hope this helps you out, and I am very encouraged that you are talking about Jesus at school! --Joe! |
