Hi djconklin, I think that I would rather not spend a lot of time considering which person is correct about "doulos" My concern is whether people know the Servant. Romans starts with the fact that God became a Son according to the flesh. This Son was God in the flesh. Romans 1:4, "who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit (or spirit) of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,..." Parenthesis mine but is an option according to the NASB Study Bible. So, carry on, but I would encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus. Later, Ray |

"I would encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus" We shhould always do that. My concern is that if we make the Bible say what we want it to say rather than letting God's Word to us speak for itself then we have in effect created our own false religion and are worshipping a false God which cannot save us. |
