1 | Why does Jesus have 2 genealogies? | Rom 1:18 | ateo | 67515
Paator Glenn, "Were you once a Christian?" Yes, but what's the relevance? This question has been discussed in great detail by others on this website. I just happen not to agree with their explanations. That's why I was hoping someone would tell me one I hadn't read already. ateo |

2 | Why does Jesus have 2 genealogies? | Rom 1:18 | Pastor Glenn | 67545
ateo, The relevance is by not having a relationship with God, there is no hope of understanding His word since Jesus said that His words are spirit and they are life. Just as we cannot go to the moon without the proper vehical, we cannot study God's spiritual things without a spiritual nature from God: Job 37:5 God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. Ecclesiastes 11:5 As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed [ 11:5 Or [ know how life ] (or [ the spirit ] ) / enters the body being formed ] in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. 1 Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. Come back to God ateo: Isaiah 55 6 Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD , and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. 8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD . 9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. 3 | Why does Jesus have 2 genealogies? | Rom 1:18 | ateo | 67559
Pastor Glenn, "The relevance is by not having a relationship with God, there is no hope of understanding His word..." That doesn't make any sense, though. By your reasoning, I understood when I was a Christian, but now I've suddenly lost that understanding. Regardless, it seems as though you're intentionally avoiding the question. Since you don't think I can understand what the Bible is talking about, why don't you fill me in. This conversation is probably getting a little too controversial for this forum, and that was never my intention. That said, if you'd like to discuss anything with just me, please feel free to send me an e-mail anytime. (jl_huff2002@yahoo.com) ateo |
