Dear Searcher, Do you believe that God so loved the World, or only those He elected to believe? I would like to know where you stand on this important verse of the Bible, Jn. 3;16. Thank you. Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be opened. Behold I stand at the door and know, if anyone opens and invites me... Whosoever will may come. |

It keeps coming back to whoever will,, 1 John 2:1 I am writing this to you, my children, so that you will not sin; but if anyone does sin, we have someone who pleads with the Father on our behalf—Jesus Christ, the righteous one. 2 And Christ himself is the means by which our sins are forgiven, and not our sins only, but also the sins of everyone. I would agree with the "whoever will" thought. However, the question is this. WHO WILL? The answer to who will, is those who CAN. Those who can, are named in John 6:44 and again in John 6:65, (No one CAN come to me unless my Father who sent me DRAWS him.) These are our Lord's words. Then the question in my mind at least, becomes, Who can resist the will of Almighty God. Can we mere humans do this? I think that there is substantial scriptural support for the thought that NO ONE can resist the will of God. If you can help me to understand this whole thing better, I would appreciate it. | ||||||
