1 | Is confession necessary for salvation? | Rom 10:17 | Searcher56 | 76445 | ||
Scripture ... Mat 10:33; Rom 1:18-20, 10:9, 15-13 ... sniper, While I think Romans 1:18-20 is an expection to the process (10:15-13) ... I don't think they heard. The process is ... one has to be sent so they can preach so others can hear -some will believe -then they'll call and then are saved Romans 10:9 talks about confession and Mattheew 10:33 is the strongest support that we need to verbalize our salvation Searcher |

The process apparently includes--and this before the process as depicted in Romans 10--what is said in 1:18-20. God began the process by leaving a witness of Himself in all Creation. The Cross is also a powerful testimony of God's love (Romans 5:6ff) and 'draws' all men. We love because God FIRST loved us. So, prior to the 'process' that you accurately point to in Romans 10, is the 'heads up' that God gives to all men. By His indiscriminate gift, He has put the ball in man's court-so to speak-requiring man to respond. It is pretty clear that everyone on the judgment day will have heard. Good day. |
